Blizzard in July

July Ninth 2016
a sequel to the ice age
golden rays now grey icicles
bitter cold caused still life circulation

The day I died
brought tears to life
my mother grief stricken
none has heard her voice since
my father broken
 in a million pieces

Never saw my father cry
though nourishing my bed with tears
giving the flowers something to drink
bowing his head his smile forgotten

Janurary 9th 2017
who would of thought
of outliving their child
I was supposed to take care of them

My bedroom unfamiliar
A shell of walls
nothing more
my therapy kitten
now abandoned

I wonder what my best friend is doing
I hear she stares at our pictures
wishing to lie with me
we always said together forever

July Ninth of 2016
I stole my loved ones world
no one bothered to tell me
regret hurts more then life itself

Thank goodness
It’s January Ninth 2024
and I’m still here today

I love to express myself through poetry. I can’t force inspiration so I only write when I feel moved. Authenticity is important to me!! If I can make anyone feel heard and understood, Then my goal is accomplished. more…
