Sunday morning

Sultry Sounds,
Shatter sleeping silence.
Sunshine slowly streams-
Seams of scattered sheet seas.
She’s standing, splendid, Singing,
Stolen slacked shirt,
Sausage skillets simmering-
Shimmering skin-
Sin secluded Somewhere.
Sitting, swirling spoons,
Soon soothing shivering souls,
Sweet,
Simple,
Sumptuous,Smooth silk sliding-
Siding sugared squares,
Shares Sunday sanctuary
Prayers.
Sending still sunlight,
Sight submerged, staring,
Secret- She saved someone.
Sun streaked smile,
Surrendering sadness as sentiments soar
Sparrows stealing sorrows, singing songs,
Saying,
Staying,
Sealing,
Stealing,
Sharing,
Morning Kisses.

I couldn’t agree more with Carol’s comment. In fact, the moment I read it I immediately thought of Carol’s own poem “The other C word”, which is similar in nature (especially the ending). You should check it out.

That said, about your poem, “Sunday morning”, not only did it paint a cogent succession of significant poetic imagery to present a story, the fragmented glimpses into that Sunday morning made me feel as though I were actually sitting there. Cleverly and well done!

I love the complexity and imagination in selecting individual words to create a composed poem using the letter S. It's a style I admire.
