Analysis of I was never alone

I thought I was a broken piece of glass,
wondered if I could ever outlast
got anxious and scared,
even the people who cared started to compare,
and I was never prepared.
I dreamed of stars but ended up creating scars,
I didn't want to confide or hurt the people who were by my side
I thought I was a broken piece of glass,
or maybe a person who reached an impasse.
Life got depressing as I stopped expressing,
felt lonely and sad,
thought I lost everyone I had,
and then I saw her,
a person who would never give up on me.
her smile was like a guiding light,
that brightens my day, brightens my night
all these years, she was there by my side
taking care of me and being my guide
I thought no one loved me, I thought no one cared,
I thought I was lonely but she was always there.
she bought me to this world and loved me more than I deserved
I told her I wasn't strong, but she said that's all wrong,
she gave me courage, she gave me strength
and I'm blissful to say;she's my mom.
