The Flip Side

I kissed the night as it slipped away.
Escaping the Sun and it's baby blue sky.
The day always invades our tranquil colorless space.
I'll find Joy when it fades me to the other side.
Got feral eyes that I fixate, on the only thing moving, it's...

I Don't Understand Your Lemons

Life is complicated they said to my youth
And to me it seemed so far from truth
Given that I could live my life without even hardly trying.
I was implying that it was all a lie.
I so ignorantly denied.
Breath by breath I started to...

Lava Lake History Of The World

Uneaven black cauldron pieces
Writhing and frothing
Seperated by glowing hot fissures of desire
From the European plagues
to Mongolian massacres
To the cons enclave
To new American sepulchers
On snowy plains no buffalo roam.
Icelandic...

Chameleon Grae

Chameleon Grae
And the gavel breaks
Cones on the pine
Rods bearing snakes
Your honor gin off again
Scotch is on tape
Enter twine count to ten
What is left but fate
Soyu arse o unrefined
Float over your make
Tell me how god felt that...

that day I found myself pondering on how the territory of empires have all seemed to expand and retract. That thought left me wondering about the factors that would cause such changes which led to how plagues are very similar along with countless other processes on earth from the careless over-hunting of the buffalo to position and shape of land masses due to plate tectonics. Somewhere in that daydream my subliminal mind flashed a video of a lava lake ive seen one TV once before and it was a perfect visual comparison of processes that can take thousands of years to , for lack of a better term, "complete". Although I use historical events from humanity, its less about us and what we try to manage but rather the inevitable ebb and flow of nearly everything on Earth. Secondly, I named the poem "A lava lake History of the world" but I comment on the unknown future with the line about Iceland and how it may very well be at the equator one day. Who knows? Its out of our hands.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. Its curious unto where random thoughts can lead us at times wouldnt ya say? :)

I just tapped the flag beside "REPLY" and it was a direct link to administrators with a comment box. That might be a fix. Justin try asking them to remove it next time. Want me to try it? I dont mind.

I want you to know cuz first and for most. Fuck the lack of care and help that soldiers deal with from the government and the military that you gave strength to. Ive never been in nor never really wanted to be in tge military but this touched me. I am still trying to donate my kidney to a vet in need but have had some horse shit setbacks from a medical system that should have never been there. My hands are tied and the decision that was made should have been mine. Anyways I want you to know that I would honestly give you my heart if you or anyone in your family needed it to live. That is the 100 percent truth. Im extremely thankful and proud of you all the soldiers and although I can never even pretend to know what yall go through just know as soon as the medical and military leaders get there thumbs out of their fucking asses, im there for it least one of you. Try to keep that head high my man. You are always gonna be our strength through thick and thin. Great Poem btw.

Forgive me if my interpretation is off but either way I was transported the battle of troy only it was in the clouds above paris. Your style has influenced me with this one. Thanks John.

I dig the "spitty". Like "clark kent" . to me its one way to toy with language from a specific point that can reach in any direction like spokes. Your insight itself is a lesson and inspiration not to mention a pleasure to read
