Taylor’s journey in the arts began at a young age while growing up in southern Saskatchewan. She’d come from a broken household, with an alcoholic father with abusive tendencies and a mother from a nuclear family with control issues. In 1997/98, when Taylor was 3 years old, her mother couldn’t take it anymore and made a break for it during the night at a women’s shelter. Having a rocky Later, depression signs were showing, and a counsellor was someone she’d been visiting every week. At the age of eight, the counsellor during this time recommended the use of poetry to express emotions and feelings. Taylor’s mother likes to tell her, "Taylor would sit with me as I read novels and be buried deep in a dictionary then write down these amazing poems.” To be quite honest, though she may have been infected by the environment and chaos throughout the years. poetry saved the mentally frustrated child trapped inside and intends to explore the other artistic side of herself.
