A Missouri Ozarks native. Shane grew up in the isolated Deepwoods of rural southern Missouri. Formally educated at Mizzou, as a Fisheries and Wildlife biologist with a special interest in ornithology. Shane currently works for a nonprofit NGO in the Ozarks specializing in the field of community based therapeutic social work and writes freelance poetry on the side.
