Poems »

This is year is really the first time that I've started getting into writing poetry. I'd always enjoyed reading it, but I just didn't think of myself as capable of being, well, a poet! I used to find it difficult to find a topic, but I think that as I've gotten older and had more experiences this has become easier. I love the way poetry allows thoughts and emotions to be expressed so succinctly in words on paper. I now find that my writing flows better, and that I have the vocab to keep up with the ideas. I really want to write more poems, and hopefully in doing so will encourage other people to give it a go. :)
