To those who care

We work, abuse, and neglect our bodies. As if we have spares. And when something inside goes wrong, we scream to any who would listen. This is not fair.

Then they wheel us in before those who should care. And we give them not a second thought. Even treating them like the enemy. And the hospital is their lair.

We rarely see passed our own pain. To those who work themselves bare. To see to our comfort, dull our pain. And if need be Guide us beyond this world of fear.

Some chalk it up to saying it’s merely a job. The pay is worth the second guessing, the rudeness, and the lies in which their aware.

These are but some of the many indignation’s. Swallowed by those who see to our care. Their work load alone, should be enough to offer them a chair.

Whether they clean the rooms. Check us in and out. Nurse what’s broken. Or dull our pain. Before surgeons improve and repair.

These are the people who deserve more then hashtags. Or an obligatory share. Maybe a second or two where your aware. That these are people. Not just name tags doing a thankless job. Whose importance is without compare.

Just some facts to think on. The next time something within us tears.
