Till Death
This is the beginning of the end
Your accusations
your pain
your disappointment
With the woman I have been
You place blame on the inaction's of my kin
You place the blame on my broken body
You place the blame on death and dying
I take the blame
I swallow it whole
And that is the one MOST dysfunctional thing I am guilty of
My part in the breakdown is as clear as the shattered pieces of our
I DO's
But owning them ALL makes me a fool
Your part is well hidden by your good intentions
your heart
your pain
your abandonment
your loss of self
your addictions and anger
and most of all,
your own 14 year old boy broken hearted broken home broken son to your broken fathers well intentioned criticism criticism criticism
Drunk in it...
There are far more wicked souls who seethe with ugly than I, and my ill placed
criticisms, criticisms, criticisms....
Flames of rage
Holes in walls, hearts
Bloodied hands ,sleepless, sexless nights
Belong to you
I hand them back with forgiveness
and the tender heart of the
one
beautiful
perfect
gift that came from all of this...
A son who is a reflection of all that is right with US
Even though the vows that brought us together are now torn apart
