the search for a cure for my dad kills me
a beggar in cold isolated streets
teasing coins stamped with the seal of hope
weather away chance
leaving salty roadways upon my cheeks

quests for a solution slay me daily
seconds river dance in his worn out watch
willing
to send my last kiss with him

I dig a bed to lay my head upon
a beggar through ice flaked
ice picked blind lanes
these red-eyed blurry street guides cannot show defeat
