Priggish with feet of clay; a smug propriety convey
With false image to portray
This is a popinjay

Self-serving interplay, where everything must go his way
Always "me first," come what may
This is a popinjay

Gluttonous everyday; good or evil he does not weigh
No impulse will he delay
This is a popinjay

Leading victims astray; looking at others as his prey
Unhesitant to betray
This is a popinjay

A temperamental way and supercilious display
With a haughty swing and sway
This is a popinjay
