Beauty Queen

I have seen
A beauty queen
For beauty is her smile,
And beauty is her starry eyes
That twinkle all the while.
Her golden locks of saffron hair
Are in their own right fey and fair,
But when they crown
That face and frown
I cannot help but stand and stare.
Her lips a lighter shade of rouge
Conceal a passionate deluge,
And O those cheeks of white delight
Are such a treasure to my sight.
The eyes,
The hair,
The lips,
The cheeks,
I can but wonder when she speaks,
Do angels gather up above
To hear the object of my love?
