Balloons And Flowers

Love is a flourishing flower
that blooms in a sunless, cold night.
Hate is an ugly weed sprouting
fertilized by anger and fright.

Joy is a helium balloon
rising high in azure, clear skies.
Sadness, a heavy weight millstone
a sinking, huge burden of sighs.

Peace is a calm, wavelet ocean
a comfortable bosom for rest.
Conflict a tornadic fury
flinging mindful reason's behest.

Love, joy and peace overriding
all hate, sadness, conflict in life.
Our human spirit can conquer
the negative vices and strife.
