jus me
upon the tall bridge standing, silently waiting,
for a meeting planned in great anticipation,
as the dark broad nights skies grew light,
n' clouds in yon' sky turning brighter
'cross the horizon t'were cloud puffs colored pink
where was she i wondered? What was i to think?
we'd been planning to meet as i clearly recall
t'was 'bout this time our plan made after all,
yet she yet hasn't come, not a hint is in sight,
nor can i see her in last remnants of night,
not even her shadow giving clues she was nearing,
as now dissipating darkened skies turning blue,
n' the noisy new day begins it's loud thrall,
n' so perhaps I she's forgotten,
tis' jus' me after all
