Poem 299

People say that they are human but really we are like animals
Only thing that separates us from them is speech and tangibles
We are desperate for attention
For we cannot see the future, but wish we were there
Not knowing that some of our visions can lead us absolutely nowhere
All of us connected like the roots in a forest
The richer becomes richer, and the poor, never flourish
We are all here connected one eye, sight to the next
Our views on different perspectives, bigger checks
Symbols right in front of us messages we don’t want to read
We rip each other apart, but we are all what each other need
I’ve been beautiful I’ve been ugly
I’ve been alone I’ve had unwanted company
Slowly, gaining knowledge and quickly to expel it
They will call you a work of art, and scrape at the paint because they are jealous
We sense innocence and eat it
We congratulate the winner, but didn’t know that they cheated.
We are really like the animal kingdom.
One feed the feeding.
