SHATTER THE SKY

SHATTER THE SKY

It's said that life is a dream
No purpose when we laugh or scream
An instant, and we're no more
Tell me what's it all for?

Give me a reason, give me a clue
Is there a point in all we do?
Hear my cry, hear my plea
Give this poor man, eyes to see!

The evil come in as a flood
Drowning the world in our blood
Birds of prey, come and feast
This world's not fit for man or beast

Give me a reason, give me a clue
Is there a point in all we do?
Hear my cry, hear my plea
Give this poor man, eyes to see!

A cried a tear today
I had no words left to pray
From my spirit, I let out a cry
For our anguish broke the sky…

Give me a reason, give me a clue
Is there a point in all we do?
Hear my cry, hear my plea
Give this poor man, eyes to see!

It is said that lying in a manger
A child that we called  a stranger
And my tears, they fell on His head
As He went to the Cross to rescue the Dead

Give me a reason, give me a clue
Is there a point in all we do?
Hear my cry, hear my plea
Give this poor man, eyes to see!

Death had Him, but couldn't hold
The devil's hand before us folds
For dead in Truth, Jesus did lay
Conquering death on the Third day

Give me a reason, give me a clue
Is there a point in all we do?
Hear my cry, hear my plea
Give this poor man, eyes to see!

Now before Him, I humbly Fall
Broken I am, give Him my all
My chains fall off, now I'm free
Now I listen, He says to me .

I am the reason, for all that you do
I am the point, guiding you through
Hear my voice, listen to me
Look into my eyes, now you will see…

I once lived, a life or a dream
Lost , alone, so it did seem
But I cried, my hearts desperate cry
With His Love, He'll shatter the sky

I am the reason, for all that you do
I am the point, guiding you through
Hear my voice, listen to me
Look into my eyes, now you will see…
Amen

About this poem

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. Romans 8:26-27
