Delbarton, West Virginia Blues

Albert Browning 1943 (Puritan Mines, WV)

I'm going to Delbarton, West Verginia here I come
I'm going to Delbarton, West Virginia here I come
They got some hillbilly girls and I'm gonna get me one

I'll be standing on the bridge where Pigeon and
    Rockhouse creek combine
I'll be standing oon the corner where Pigeon and
    Rockhouse creek entwine
With my hillbilly baby and a jug of that clear moonshine

Well I can't take a plane and I can't take a train
But if I have to thumb I'll get there even if it rains
I'm going to Delbarton, West Verginia here I come
They've got hillbilly lovers and I'm gonna get me one

I'm gonna pack my clothes I'll be outta here by nine
I'll pack miy clothes I'll be thumbing down that road by
    nine
If I stay in _________ I know I'm gonna lose my mind

Mountain towns and hollers are friendly to your mind
West Virginia has towns that are friendly to your mind
I'm goin' to Delbarton where I can have some peace of Mind.
