Spring With Her

Spring: A time or season of growth or development

Walking down on the ruble on the ground, we chat and make small conversation
Look at the sky full of vibrancy
It’s still a time where rain falls yet there’s days of shine and wind
We make it to the park where there’s life everywhere to be seen: Flowers on the ground, squirrels in the trees and people enjoying the outdoors
But now we’re in the hallways walking to our next class
I’m so conscious of your presence it’s painful
I can feel every nerve in my body when I’m next to yours
But there’s a new feeling growing in my heart that longs to be everything for you
I notice your bright smile from across the room
I notice your intelligence every time you speak in class
I notice your humor when you can make everyone laugh
I notice the joy you bring me.
Yet here we are back on the field
The metro will always pass by
You’re making a home run again while everyone is cheering in the stands
And I’m thinking god how can someone like that show interest in me
You’re not even mine yet I’m grateful to have you in my life
I’m grateful for the moments we share together
This spring grew a feeling I can’t explain
My blossom woman
