The Vows: Love is in the Air

The Vows
Dionne A. Reid

Spoken Together by the couple ( The poem Love is in the Air. )
Our fragrance of love airing
Hearts joined together as one
Touching one another light
Greeting my love with kisses
Inhaling love consume us

Then the man states his full name, and his Bride's full name; professing his vows first.

I, HUSBAND take you _________ to be my wife.
As long as time allows, here on earth,
I will cherish You.
I will respect You.
I will share my mind, heart, and body, with You.
And through our seasons of health and wealth,
joy and grief;
My heart is yours to protect.

Then the woman states her full name, and her Groom's full name; and profess her vows also.

I, WIFE  take you _____________ to be my husband.
As long as time allows, here on earth,
I will cherish You.
I will respect You.
I will share my mind, heart, and body, with You.
And through our seasons of health and wealth,
joy and grief;
My heart is yours to protect.

About this poem

The Vows  Dionne A. Reid  Inspired by something I would like to see in a scene of a movie. I'm thinking to script different scenarios, to find the best one to bring it to life --- on a movie screen for The Vows. Depending on the age of the man and women how it is announced comes with creativity. • The start of a wedding vow • A save the date postcard, or wedding invitation  • The mural - painting • A look back into time
