Finding my own

Finding my own

I’m searching for my own, the heart so strong
Ceasingly searching in uncertainty
Trying to find the way, where I belong
Here or there, let me find the remedy

Dissipate please, when will restlessness go?
Exploring what seems like the east to west
Again, is it my time? How will I know?
Possibly I will soon find what is best

Something crept, it came unexpectedly
Wait, is this what I have been looking for?
Like a sheep wandering for his family
There see, waiting patiently at the door

Glad to say I finally found my own
Jesus Christ, wanting to be in my home

About this poem

This poem is about people who want to find there way and calling In life. Wanting to find yourself and discover what you should do. I know for some people it's hard to find self fullfilment, but this poem ends in the best fulfillment that comes when your not looking for it. It's God that will be able to guide us and help in our journey of self discovery.

Naomi Watson

I am a highschool grade 12 student who has a vast amount of hobbies and have a love for trying new things. I enjoy writing, and decided to try something new. Of course for me it wasn't my own decision but a dreaded task given from my English teacher to write a poem with specifically ten syllables in each line and using the Shakespearean rhyme scheme. I hope anyone who reads this poem becomes inspired by the words and hopefully it speaks to them. more…
