Us

Empty, yet so broken
I sit here and think
Making the pain flourish
Not just in my head
I feel it everywhere
Cutting so deep
Must be flowing through my veins
Pouring out my eyes
The place I sleep feels like a pool
Filled with the love I still have for you
I still care
I’d drop it all for you
I’d come to see you right now
Looking for what used to be
But you’re different now
I miss you
But I can’t It hurts
I’m fine till I’m alone
Then I see you
You’re eyes, you’re smile
I hear you
You’re laugh, you’re voice
Telling me you love me
I feel you
You’re heartbeat when I get close
You’re hands in mine
It’s not you
Though I wish it was
Just to hug you again
But I can’t that hurts too
I want what we had
At the start
Nothing could tear us apart
But look at us now
Nowhere to be found.
