Finally Gone

Free verse
A road of pain,
Now at the end,
My heart finally able to mend,
Done with the abuse,
Done with the hate,
Now able to enjoy my life.

No more living in fear,
No longer worrying
He might be there.

A monster in the dark,
Finally brought to light,
No more running,
My life finally mine.
