To My Lover

Free verse
To my lover

I am cold and scared. Can you take me by the hand and calm my fears? I have nothing to give you but my tears. Please don't go running. I just need a friend who will stay by my side. Someone who can give me back my pride. Someone who loves me for who I am won't come and go like the tide in the sand. Just open the door and come inside, and I will be there by your side. I will always love you till the end of time.
