seas of delight

bright  green   emerald  waves
narrow   fingers
clutch  to the  grey   moss  laden   harbour   walls
their   grip  eventually  fading
unfolding into  new  blue  indigo  pastures
finally   drifting out to  sea
disappearing into a deep   silent   abyss
life   long   prisoners  of   the  wide  open  ocean
never   dying
each   night   defying    death

in   calm   tranquil   waters
they   rise   like  a  phoenix
angels   of    delight
singing   a  sweet   melodic   melody
enticing  seafaring   folk  and  sailors
