Self Appreciation

I am proud of  myself that I keep walking when I do not have the courage to take steps because of the burden of my heart

I am proud of myself that I eat food for every cell of my body even when my heart does not know how to handle the burden of pain

I am proud to have that office bag on my shoulder even when my shoulders start hurting due to the weight of responsibilities

I am proud that I wake up early even on the day when my eyes saw the battle of my heart and the mind last night

I am proud that I smile even when my throat is choked with emotional pain

I am the strongest....

About this poem

I wrote this poem to appreciate myself. I wrote it when courage was needed to get up from the bed. I get up and did well and appreciated myself I believe that I'm the strongest...
