Me×2

LisaJ* 1977 (Tx)

I understand the other
And I recognize her goal
I except the gift that has been given
And the power that it holds
I welcome it's strength
And demand for control
And give of myself
All the will that I own
I will follow your lead
And give it no thought
Be who you are
Stand out in the dark
I know what you bring
The whole purpose for your life
To set my soul free
From this prison...That is I
The weights that I carry
And the burdens that I bear
Shake the chains
At my ankles
And the lynches in the air
Peep the eyes on my back
And the hands stretched out there
Know my mind and my thoughts
And my secret inner prayer
Embrace my soul and let me breath
Free my heart from this despair
Cut my ties no more strings
No more time for petty things
Fill me up and let them see
The royal Lioness ... that is Me
