Yet again I love.

I am, what I used to be
And I would remain
A fool at times,
Failed and fallen

I love, I fall and fall again
Yet I love, for I am.
My plight out on the line
Hung up to dry

Lost and left to rue
Alone and lonely
Often than many,
Yet I remain where I began

Out in the cold
Moments ago keep me warm
Words with no meaning
Smile at me for no reason

Windless seasons beckon
The dying embers within
Still afar I see the dream
Yet again, I love and long

About this poem

This poem is about remaining the way the lover is, despite being betrayed, being left alone by his love who chose to remain in the shadows, watching him perish day by day.
