Eggshells

Narrative
I grew up in a house that felt like it was always on the verge of destruction,
I would creep around making sure not a toe was out of place, fearing that a single creak in the floorboards would make rage burn my house to the ground.

I don’t know when it happened or how it happened, all I remember is I was one; and my first steps were on eggshells.
