LIVING IN SIN
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
I sit back and I look at all my struggles. Well, now I walk away with my middle finger-ups while saying I've had enough of your so-called society. Now I welcome you to the shit I call my actuality. I have nothing left to prove as I sway and move from your punches, knowing I'm no longer alone.
I have been speaking more and saying less, sending a shiver up and down your spine. Let me send you an invitation welcoming you to the caverns of my mind.
The sun is out waiting for me to shout at the moon, knowing that I will always find my home in the darkness of the night, for it is the place where I choose my words to recite, so give my soul some shelter while I weather my storm waiting to reborn.
Do not disgrace my sin; I do all I need to win. I'm not living your life to die in this sin, for it is the suicide of my body, soul, and mind. Do not question what's left of me when all I do is fight until I see the rays of sunlight, which promises another day of sunrises and surprises There is nobody who can shape my soul for I know that I am real so it is another win living in sin.
