The Psychologist
The Psychologist
I have not yet started talking
But he's already noting it down
Does he know what he's chalking?
Well I might as well leave town.
Is it me he has been stalking?
Does he also know that I drown?
He then stops and looks at me,
Chuckles and offers me tea
I look at him and then I see
That he has got to be
One of the ones with a fee
That's free for me to be free
I have not yet quenched my thirst
But he's already taking notes again
Once more,he is indulging first
I think he is numbing my pain
But what if he too, fears the worst,
That my issues might still remain?
He stands up and then comes near,
Gets closer to whisper in my ear
Inaudible,déjà vu is only what I hear
He feels like someone I once held dear
I then start pulling away in fear
It's clear that I can't bear my tear
I have not yet shown I'm weak
But before he goes to take a seat
His warm hand reaches for my cheek
Somehow i get lost in the heat
And find my eyes closed so quick
Once again,I am swept off my feet.
He then pulls away this time
Goes back to his notebook to mime
As I feel like a suspect that's prime
But then I remember,I know no crime
Except my rhymes so sublime
"You spoke to me saying nothing at all,
You know time is meant to heal the fall
Bang your head against the wall
But remember when i left,you didn't stall...
I know you and your heart
You dominate a certain part
In me,that I can't start
To explain it is what
You still feel the same
Someone's trust I would tame
I even recall your name..."
The psychologist said as he closed the pad,
While I sat there motionless like dead.
