My Throughts

Every morning I wake up in a place I call home.
Wondering what the day holds for me. Either I die or live this life.

I wish to do what makes me happy.
I wish I could fly with the other bird, my other half.
Listen to him sing, this would make me happy.
But instead, you made me feel guilty.

You don’t like when I flew away to be with the other bird.
If it’s too late you worried, if I don’t want what you want you get angry.
You always want to have the final say.

I feel free when I’m outside.
Behind these bars I feel so sad, never dreamed it will be this bad.
Everything is always a problem.
You have your thoughts, I have mine

I know you mean well to protect me.
But you cannot keep me protected forever.
One day I will grow up and be free.

Hey, I grew up.
Good thing you protected me from that bird, because he sang a different song from me.

What do you mean by "My Throughts"? Should it be " My Thoughts"?
Another thing, There is a mix-up of past and present tense in some places that need adjustment to make clearer the thought. One can get the general idea but the writing is not so smooth giving not so clean a reading.
