Goodbye beautiful

Tristen 2002 (United States)

There was a day, not long ago.
Where I held love, or so I thought.
All it took, was but a day.
For all my dreams, to be led astray.
Since that time, so long ago.
I've suffered thoughts, madness, and so.
A week had passed, and sorrow still held.
I suffered from regret, I felt like I'd melt.
The feelings inside, they bound me up tight.
They never let go, it was never alright.
I wished the clock reversed, and time would go back.
Back to when I was happy, something I then lacked.
A month has passed, and sorrow still festers.
But since then I've grown, and I now run faster.
I run to a place without you. But I could never forget you.
I won't part without a word.
But I'm still not strong enough.
So I'm sorry this is all I can say.
Goodbye.

Beautiful expression of your pain. It gets better day by day and poetry helps. Great poem!
