Sunshine in the morning

Summers here, new day begins.
Precious walk with morning friend, my zone and Zona, our purest time.
Meandering waters, surreal, sublime.
Gentle coolness, summers breeze flows through green, nearby, trees.
Flowers blooming, fragrance sweet, relax my mind-- simple retreat. Letting go of long lost pains, looking forward to hopes and gains. This time is mine, I'm loved and free, Simple pleasures, my dog and me.

About this poem

I wrote this for my friend Sunshine, she encouraged me to write my very first poem. She walks her dog Zona along a local creek every morning.
