Missing Piece
Lovely D'ae 1989 (Ohio)
I've never been a daddy's girl and I never said I was perfect
September nineteenth two thousand nineteen
A piece of my puzzle went missing
Went missing for eternity till we meet again tomorrows never promised and today isn't forever
You've suffered and fought a strong battle but God called to you and said
My son it's time for you to rest no more pain and no more suffering
I have a rejuvenated body waiting to replace your broken one
Dad it's time for you to play in the most beautiful band
That heavenly tune that lets us know you're okay
This isn't goodbye or farewell; It's simply just a "see you later"
We've had our share of ups and downs you've helped give me life I'm thankful for that
So please don't tell me how to grieve you don't know my story you don't know my strength
You don't know the demons that's buried within I'm hurt I'm mad I'm upset and angry
But I can't be selfish cause your job was complete
You've won the battle and victory is yours
We mourn we cry we scream and shout but you're in a better life
My heart is broken, and a piece is missing my heart is aching, but you are free
God it so feels like a dream I can't shake
A dream I can't awake
So please don't tell me how to grieve cause A piece of my puzzle is missing
I'll never be whole my heart has a hole I feel your presence this I know
Daddy please come back home we need you I need you we love you so much
Just save a place a spot for me just watch over us and guide us through this troubled time
A piece pf my puzzle is missing; This I know for sure
A piece of my puzzle is missing, and your story has just begun
