She

She came from the darkness
She lit up my life
She knew all my fears
She took away all my strife
She listened to my sins
She did not run nor hide
She was the love of my life

She sang me her songs
She told me her stories
She traveled the world
She brought back many glory’s
She whispered she loved me
She let me know that she cared
She was the love of my life

She looked into my soul
She reached in and saved me
She carried my heart
She cared for it daily
She brought me new life
She carried our baby
She was the love of my life

She soon fell Ill
She knew she was leaving
She held me so tight
She had no choice no reason
She put her mouth to my ear
She spoke with such tremor
You are the love of my life

About this poem

So this is my first real attempt at poetry, I did a piece at school which sadly I no longer have access too as I was very proud of that. However it has been around 8 years since then so thought I’d try again. Please go easy on me
