Unethical

Dew Dasgupta 1962 (Kolkata)

Having demolished the shelter,
Having devastated the body
One has to stand on

To live, to save oneself
Killing of ethics is important

Next---
If this happens, if you start walking
If you feel the mist in your body
If the body becomes restless
The heart is full of perturbation

Then your feet on two boats
And that is not mist, it is dark
Your heart is sinking in the darkness.

About this poem

The realistic world is now void of ethics ; people, throughout the world is always after material success and there is nothing best like success materially. The truth here expresses its pain as it becomes so much complexive because superficial attitude here everything, no aesthetic beauty is honoured.
