What Lies Beneath

How boring would the universe be.
If all there was was what we could see.
I refuse to believe there is nothing more.
Another world behind the door.
This world of color and limitations.
Falls short of childhood expectations.
If youth we'd dream of heros and magic.
Yet now the world seems pale and tragic.
Although most are born, grow old, and die.
I believe there is more than meets the eye.
Just like some are blind and some can see.
Most scoff, but some believe like me.
There are those who see through the vale.
What they've seen would an amazing tale.
Like in life, there is evil and there is good.
The feeling to run doesn't mean you should.
Although caution has a time and place.
Sometime, our fears, we should face.
We clench our fists and grit out teeth.
So we can find out what lies beneath.
