To My Brother
Had I known that you would be gone by morning,
I would not have changed a thing.
Had I known that it would be the last time I would see your loving face,
I would not have changed a thing.
The words I have always spoken for your ears to hear,
These are words that come deep within my heart.
The bond we have between us, Still as strong as steel.
Although I can not hug you, Your presence I still feel.
You're resting now with Jesus, He has you in his care.
Until we meet again my brother, Your love and memories I will share.

About this poem
I wrote this poem the day after my only brother (sibling) passed away in 2019. He was always my rock, my go-to person.
