My Soul

My soul
I didn't ask to be born
But here I am
With feelings just like you
I love the sun
But not the fill of the wind
When it blows
The whole of my jersey

My father was gone
I don't know where
My mother tried to earn a living
But hunger was bad really bad

At school they laughed at me
They even scold me
Just because I'm poor
Is it my fault to be born
Is it my fault to be born poor
Help my soul, will you
Thank you

About this poem

It is a poem about my life. The painful things I have faced. The way my schoolmates treated me and the way the society was to me.
