Being Left Behind

You didn't give me a hint
That you have another life ahead
At least I would have said all that was in my head
But I didn't, this will surely be my
Regret till my deathbed

When I share everything with you
Will your soul paint my sky
To give me a sign that you are listening,
Because Graves don't reply.

When I saw your body being
Lowered into the ground,
Instead of mourning I saw myself reveling in The memories of the love we had found.

Realising I will never get to touch your face again
My heart badly aches,
You and I were destined to be together,
Now seeing you leave, my trust in destiny breaks.

But somehow, a part of me still waits
For the universe to restore my faith,
For the stars to make us a new way
So I can be with you each day.

I search for you in everything,
You are the raindrop that trickles down my cheek,
You are the warm rays of sunshine that light up my face,
You are the air that blows my hair into my eye,
And forever, you remain my happy place.

The story is still incomplete
Between you and me,
Left to fate and destiny.

To complete the story my heart will find a way,
'til then I live by your memories,
And await the day when your path will cross mine again for the first time...
