To the victims in Malakal UN camp
I escaped the hells of war
To be pinned to shelter’s floor
Raped abused and forced by men
Who supposed protect me then
Ah Sudan, what is my fault?
Why I pay for this assault?
I just want to play with dolls
I’m a child in men’s pitfall
Malakal is not child safe!
I myself a poor waif
Forced to prostitute by aid
I am weak, I am afraid
Childhood spoiled by the crimes
Men commit to gain the primes
Be that women, land or gold
Can’t I stay away from all?
Let me live my girlhood free!
Let me be who I want to be!
Am I asking for too much?
Why you all ask me to shush?!
