Simping Poet

Praise Majaya 2003 (Maszingo)

The simping poet

I would tell you I love you
But ‘I love you’ is a phrase too short to grasp my ever growing love for you
I would tell you I love but my love is too complex to fit into such a simple phrase
So if
You were a Queen I’d be your night in shinning armour
Ready for battle
To protect you from any harm
And if I died
I’d return to you

Perhaps as a scribe
To write tales about your beauty
Generations should know of such perfection
And if I died
I’d return to you

Perhaps as the wind
