Pieces

I pick up pieces of me
Pieces I dropped, pieces tossed aside
and put them in my pocket
but my pocket doesn't give way
it is filled to the brim, bulging with memories beautifully melancholic
electrifying
mine
memories of those who meant
and those who deserves to be
I stand unmoving
With a handful of pieces of me
Pieces I can't take back
But I was happy
For all that happened and all that didn't
I loved and I lived
There is no space for pieces of me
But a pocketful of memories decorate the space
where these pieces were meant to be
