To The Extreme

I feel in extremity.
The loudness and violence
Of the voice,
I cannot endure it.
The dried-up rocks,
Feel the water surge in
From above.
My eyes,
Feel the blood surge in
From below.
I feel too much,
I do not mean to.
A flower when given
Too much water,
Dies.
When given too little,
Dies still.
It feels too much,
It doesn't mean to.

About this poem

The poem is an ode to the sensitivity of humans as well as nature. Anything in extreme amounts becomes harmful even when it is something good, such as love, or something negative, such as violence. This poem is written with the intention to match the minds of people who identify the innocence and sensitivity of themselves and nature.
