Transition I
In the beginning
God asked Solomon what he desired
And he replied “wisdom!”
And God opened His stores of wealth also
By which he gained entrance with his wisdom.
After basking in the glory and bosom
Of wealth and women...
God again
Ask Solomon what he would desire
A prompt reply he gave
“Of course, You know, Lord, wealth!”
And God wondered.
Then He opened the emergency exit
To all foolishness.
About this poem
Wisdom may lead to wealth but the love for wealth leads to foolishness! Today, our community is defined by a passion for wealth and possession and nothing good comes out of it in the end.
