The Cry of War

The First Cry is the hardest,
The screaming that sounds like bullets
The first emotions are the strongest.
The hatred that surrounds the plains.
The War rages on
The bodies in the ground
The blood like the Red Sea
That's all I see.
The waves of rounds flying at you
All you want to do if hide
The strongest was told they would survive
The weakest was told they might die.
All you can imagine is being held by your parents again.
The strongest having the training and skill
While the weakest with not as much training and skills.
All you see is people running around shooting,
There the smell of death coming from every direction.
Nothing you can do to stop it but they all keep moving.
