Is there eternal love?

FrankCalle 1948 (La Habana)

No, it can't be possible
that my hands are touching the softest parts
of your body;
that my lips are pink with ecstasy
the rosy parts of the skin of my dreams.
It can't be real what I'm seeing...

It cannot be true that your whole body
be warming the hands of my body;
and the serene and warm waters of the beach,
mixed with the sands of the universe,
wrap our sexes with desires.

Do we exist forever?
Aren't we perhaps just the union of memories?

I couldn't possibly be just a dream within a dream.
The union of our bodies cannot be real.
Could it be that eternal love certainly exists?
This is the only way to explain this moment.
That's the only way we exist, and time doesn't pass,
because we have been dead for millennia...

About this poem

Will love be eternal? Opinions are often divided, but after this poem, the answer lies with Adam and Eva.
