We The People

Nefarious governments

Sinister religions

Repugnant politicians

This pandemic, they’re loving it.

Pitting the poor people against each other

Billionaires making decisions

This isn’t the world that we envisioned

How did we end up in this position?

And now we’re all conditioned

To hate one another like children.

But we should be above this since

We’re humans blessed with consciousness

How about we use some common sense

To understand our common threads

To embolden us and rise up against

The evil bastards called the one percent

They need to pay the consequence

For leveraging this pestilence!

About this poem

2020 - 2021 has been a trying year, and we the common people have seen the rich get richer as we struggle. We've seen the ultra wealthy take advantage of a pandemic, and we must show them who we are.
