memory of a beach

Samantha Jo BIllups 1994 (United States)

There are waves in her memory,
as far back as she can remember
her life has been echoed by water in the summertime.
There is a shadow on a beach, Her father is standing behind her the guardian is always there in the back of her mind.
The sky blue and white,
the sand is hot on her skin
and nothing like those days will ever come with age.
