I See

TJ Johnson

When the moon rises
I feel the beauty and romance
it creates in our hearts
When the sun rises
I see the parade of beauty that follows it
When the sun sets
I see the glow of comforting hands
ushering in the evening
When the stars twinkle
I see the bright luster of things
that are and were
So why then does the future I see
look void of color and purpose
